Newly promoted French Ligue 1 side Paris FC have offered Nigeria international winger Moses Simon a three year deal with a monthly salary of €300,000 (600 million Naira) a month, twice what he is presently earning at fellow French Ligue 1 side Nantes, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Paris FC aim is to make the 29 year old their statement signing in the wake of the takeover by the arnault family and the Red Bull brand. Simon has already said yes to their proposal.
Nantes have been locked in talks over his transfer, and after initially refusing an opening offer of €5m , both teams are said to be closing in on an agreement for €6m potentially rising to €8m with add ons.
Reports of an agreement and a proposed medical is wide off the mark as the winger isn’t even in France at the moment. He left Nigeria one week ago for holiday with his family.
The figure is close to the valuation that Nantes have of the forward who has just a year left on his deal after spending five years at the club. Last season he had ten assists with eight goals from 32 games.
Simon is presently on holiday with his family, and he is expected to return to Nigeria next week but might likely complete the move before coming home for the concluding part of his holiday.
