Newly promoted French Ligue 1 side Paris FC have failed with their opening bid for Nigeria international forward Moses Simon, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Like we exclusively reported the 29 year old is a prime target of the freshly promoted side who are backed by billionaire owner Arnault family and Red Bull GmbH as key investors.
By acquiring a minority stake became a stakeholder at the club with the Arnault family acquired holding a majority stake. It is part of a long term plan to make the club a force in Ligue 1, which starts with signing of key players.
Simon who has a year to go on his contract at Nantes ended last season with a tally of ten assists and eight goals is seen as their major target. They filed an initial bid of €5m but it was flatly rejected by the Canaries.
Nantes reportedly want a fee in the region of €10m for their prized asset aside add ons. Talks are expected to continue in the coming weeks with all parties involved confident of reaching an agreement before the close of the transfer window.
