Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle says Victor Osimhen is a one of kind type of player that he has never seen in his life.
Chelle has only worked with the striker for only two games but has seen enough to term him as the best striker in the world due to his rare characteristics, which includes his passion for winning even during training sessions.
“He (Osimhen) wants to win everything during training. It’s crazy,” Chelle told BBC Sport Africa.
“When the training session finishes he wants to stay on the pitch and score again and again.
“I think maybe even when he sleeps he wants to score too.”
He went ahead to speak on the uncertain future of the 26 year old, who spent last season on loan to Galatasary from Napoli, and is expected to leave the Italian side on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window.
“Victor is, for me, the best striker in the world,” Chelle added.
“For him it is difficult to come for this game because he played a season with a lot of pressure.
“The reality is there is a transfer window. During this time, a player like him is not focused at 100%.
“I need to protect him physically and mentally, because maybe he will go [and get a transfer move].
