Barring a last minute change of mind Nigeria international forward Paul Onuachu has agreed a deal to join Turkish side Trabzonspor on a permanent deal from relegated English Premier League side Southampton, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Both clubs have been locked in negotiations for days trying to reach an agreement on his transfer fee with personal terms already agreed with player and his representative for a three year deal.
Trabzonspor initially offered to pay €4m for the lanky Nigerian but the bid was rejected by Southampton, who are holding out for twice that amount aside add ons expected to be easily achievable.
However in that last couple of days all camps have moved more closer to an agreement than ever for the transfer to happen, and in the coming day a medical could be lined up for the 31 year old in Turkey.
If all parties reach a favorable agreement as expected in the coming days he will begin his second spell at the club, when they regroup for pre season training in three weeks time.
Onuachu made a huge impression in his first spell at the club , which was a loan deal from Southampton and he scored a total of 16 goals in 25 games including four assists. 15 of his goals came in just 21 league games.
