The record breaking feat of Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen has gone unnoticed by top clubs in the world, who were expected to be queuing up for his signing owing to the complex nature of his future, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Osimhen powered Galatasary to a domestic double by helping them win the Turkish Cup and also the league with a total of 36 goals including one in yesterday’s title decider win over Kayserispor.
He has 25 goals in 29 league games, 6 in seven games in the Europa League and 5 in the Europa League. A tally that is his best ever goal scoring season in all competitions.
However top clubs don’t seem to be tussling for his service as he is due to leave Napoli almost immediately when he returns from his loan spell with Galatasary at the end of the season.
” I think it’s about his salary demand. Which is presently at €10m a year. A lot of clubs that I know won’t be open to paying that much because it will destroy their wage structure. That doesn’t mean he isn’t worth it but it’s about the pay structure at the top clubs”, licensed FIFA agent Matthew Peters told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
” However if he decides to lower his wages even Galatasary will fancy their chances of signing him permanently. I believe he will make a big move before the summer transfer window closes but I doubt if any top club will smash their wage structure for him. Maybe in Saudi Arabia”, he concluded.
