Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has drawn up the list of players who will represent Nigeria in the upcoming friendly tournament in England, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Super Eagles will play in the four team tournament called the Unity Cup where they will take on Ghana on the 28th of May, before playing the winner in the other game which will be Trinidad and Tobago vs Jamaica.
The game falls outside the window approved by world football governing body FIFA for international games, and it also coincides with some leagues where established players of the Super Eagles play.
However some players like Moses Simon of French side Nantes will be available with the French Ligue 1 ending on the 17th of May. Ten days before the commencement of the tournament.
We can also report that players like Stanley Nwabali, William Troost-Ekong and Maduka Okoye were not listed, in addition to the duo of Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen whom we earlier reported won’t be in the squad due to club commitments.
Other foreign based players like Frank Onyeka, Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella who all play in Germany are expected to be named in the squad, meanwhile the England based players will confirm their availability or not later this week.
