Werder Bremen defender Felix Agu has made himself available for the Super Eagles when they play in the four team invitational tournament in England in May, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Agu who has played in 19 Bundesliga games this season was born in Germany to parents of Nigerian descent, and after snubbing an approach from Nigeria three years ago he has now made it clear that he sees a future with the Super Eagles.
He is yet to be invited since making his intention known, but there is a high chance that he will be in the mix for the friendly tournament in England where Nigeria will be up against Trinidad and Tobago, Ghana and Jamaica.
There has been doubts on the availability of senior players for the game because it clashes with the end of the season games. Agu is however not in the same quagmire and will no doubt honour a call up from head coach Eric Chelle.
” He will definitely honour the call up. That’s a given and he isn’t affected by what will keep others out of the tournament, because the league in Germany will end on the 17th of May. Ten days before Nigeria’s first game against Ghana in the tournament”, his representative told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
