As many as six players who were not part of the Super Eagles squad for the world cup qualifiers will be back in the team for the four team invitational tournament in England, OwngoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Head coach of the team Eric Chelle left some regulars out of the squad for the 2-0 win away to Rwanda and the 1-1 draw at home to Zimbabwe in the world cup qualifiers, in what were his inaugural set of games as coach.
Ahead of the games in the four teams tournament tagged the Unity Cup, Nigeria who will compete against Ghana, before facing one of Trinidad and Tobago or Jamaica pending on the results between the two Caribbean nations are using the game to fine tune preparation for the resumption of the world cup qualifiers in September.
Chelle has also decided to use the avenue to try some new players and also hand a recall to some players who are doing well, but presently out of the setup.
