22 year old Sheffield United defender Femi Seriki appears to have made up his mind on his international future as his club close in on promotion to the English Premier League, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Seriki has played in 19 games for Sheffield United who are second in the English Championship just one point behind leaders Birmingham City, and well placed to gain automatic promotion to the English Premier League.
With 19 appearances and one assist this season, the right back who is of Nigerian descent through his father is eligible for both England and Nigeria, but he appears to have quickly made up his mind as he is yet to be capped by both nations at any level.
Prime to be a part of the Sheffield United team if they secure promotion to the English Premier League, he was quick to reply to a Nigerian in a viral video when he was asked about when he will make up his mind to play for Nigeria.
“Hopefully soon” he said with a smile on his face as he walks into the team boss in a video made available to our editorial team by a source who watched him play on a regular basis.
