Fans of Turkish side Galatasary booed Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen after their 3-3 draw against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League yesterday, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Osimhen scored the third goal to put them 3-1 up before the Ukrainians staged a remarkable comeback to level the two goals deficit courtesy of Andriy Yarmolenko. They hanged on to pick a memorable point away from home.
Prior to their second goal, Osimhen wasted a very good chance to kill the game and in the process extend his infamous record of the most chance missed in the history of the UEFA Europa League.
Despite the fact that he has scored 15 goals this season with four in the Europa League he has also missed 16 big chances so far in six games, twice the amount that Brian Brobbey of Ajax who is in second place.
In the league where he has 11 goals, Osimhen has also missed 12 big chances and after the game against Hatayspor over the weekend where he scored the lone goal in a 1-1 draw fans still expressed their unhappiness with his wastefulness.
