Eric Chelle has revealed the way his team will approach the world cup qualifiers games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe receptively in March, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
The coach made this known at his unveiling ceremony yesterday by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), where he official signed what the president of the football house Ibrahim Musa Gusau says is a two year deal, with the option of another if he qualifies for the world cup.
Speaking on his preferred approach to games, the 47 year old revealed what he expects Super Eagles players to do when on the ball, and also when they are without it.
“Scoring goals is a mindset. We need to play aggressively and with intensity. When we lose possession, we must press high and recover the ball quickly”, he explained.

Chelle was then asked how he intends to curb indiscipline, which has been one of the issues that past coaches of the team have failed to address properly, which has led to the labeling of some players as untouchable.
“To succeed as a coach, you must take risks. The Super Eagles is my favorite team, and I’m committed to building a strong connection with the players. I’ll be strict but also serve as a big brother to them,” he stated.
