The interim coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Austine Eguavoen is keen on having players who will be of help as part of his team ahead of the upcoming AFCON qualifiers games against Libya in October, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Eguavoen will once again play the role of a stop gap coach for the Super Eagles when they take on Libya in back to back games in the AFCON qualifiers. The coach already led the team to a 3-0 win over Benin Republic and a 0-0 draw against Rwanda respectfully in their first two games of the series.
One of the names in the plans of the coach is Monaco’s teen sensation George Ilenikhena who enhanced his growing reputation with his goal for Monaco in their shock 3-1 win over Spanish LaLiga giants Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.
Born in Nigeria, but migrated to France at a very young age, the 18 year old who has represented France at youth level is eligible for Nigeria and Eguavoen is said to have held talks with his representatives on playing for Super Eagles.

The decision now lies in the court of the player, with an immediate response expected before the compilation of the Super Eagles list for the AFCON qualifiers games in October.
