The coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso has made a late change to his final list of players for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations, which will begin in Egypt next month.
Bosso has already submitted a 30 man provisional list of players from where he will pick 25 for a training tour of Morocco, which will be the last step before a final list of 21 players will be picked for the tournament proper.
The coach was forced to making changes to the list of players with two players moving from the 30 man list to the list of 25 players for the training tour of Morocco. The reason behind the late change wasn’t made public as at the time of this report.
Also, Bosso has names the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the WAFU B championship Daniel Daga as the new captain of the team, another move which we exclusively gathered, was taken in respect to the leadership qualities of the midfielder despite the fact that he is one of the youngest in the team.
He will wear the armband for the first time on Saturday when they take on the Zambia U20 team in an international friendly game in Abuja. Both countries are using the game to fine tune preparations for the U20 AFCON, which serves as the qualifiers for the U20 World Cup.
