Former coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Sunday Oliseh has once again voiced his willingness to coach the team further distancing himself from his comments of two years ago.

Speaking in an Instagram live video chat with The Punch. The former Juventus, Ajax and Borussia Dortmund star said:“No, I don’t have the intention of ever coaching the (Super) Eagles again,” he said in 2020.

Last year he backtracked on his statement in an interview on Channels Television monitored by owngoalnigeria.com editorial team. ‘My priority is to get Nigeria back to the top,” Oliseh said in an interview in October.

“I will do it (handle the Super Eagles) if the person employing have the interest of Nigeria at heart.’”

He has once again voiced out his willingness to pick up the job and it is coming at a time, where there is no clear cut stand on the future of current coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Jose Peseiro.

Peseiro’s one year deal will run out this year and with no talks of an extension on the table, he could walk away when his deal runs out. Oliseh has put himself in frame for the job but said he will only accept the offer if the person in charge has the interest of Nigeria at heart.

He made this known in an interview with Punch.

Punch: Would you want to coach Nigeria again if offered the Super Eagles job?

Oliseh: I will handle the Super Eagles again if the person employing me has the interest of Nigeria at heart. My priority is to get Nigeria back to the top, but things must be done the right way.
