Abel is among the players based abroad called up by coach Ladan Bosso and will report to the camp of the team in the second week of January to prepare for the tournament which runs between 19 February and 11 March in Egypt.

Nigeria has been drawn in Group A along with host country Egypt, Mozambique and Senegal and Ogwuche said he looks forward to the tournament with pride of putting on the colours of the Nigeria U20 team known as Flying Eagles.

“It is with pride that I will represent Nigeria in the tournament. It shows that I did something good and I hope that me and my teammates can make the country feel proud of our achievements. It is a dream that every child in the country has, to represent Nigeria at the national team level and not everyone has been lucky enough to have that dream come true”, he told the official website of the club.
