The top scorer for English Championship side Bournemouth Dominic Solanke appears to be serious about committing his international future to Nigeria after representing England at various youth levels.
24 year old Solanke found the back of the net 20 times in 32 games this season for third placed Bournemouth who are chasing a return to the English Premier League following relegation two seasons ago.
As first reported by this portal after a chat with the player’s representative, he is seriously weighing up the chance of playing for Nigeria as he sees his chance with England as very slim.
Solanke reacted to the recently released list of players for the World Cup qualifiers playoff against Ghana by liking a post on Instagram on the official handle of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announcing the list.
He also now follows more players of the senior national team of Nigeria, likes post about the team and he was among those who sent his message of congratulations to Ademola Lookman over his first invitation to the Super Eagles.
Like Solanke, Lookman represented England at various youth levels before agreeing to switch allegiance to Nigeria at senior level, something that Solanke appears to be pushing for in recent days.
