Izuchukwu Jude Anthony has joined Israel top division side Hapoel Haifa from Slovakian side FC Spartak Trnvana, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
23 year old Anthony signed a one year deal with the option of another year base on the success of his first year with the club that finished 9th last season.
There is no clarity on the financial terms of his move to Israel at the moment but the defender who was called up to the Nigerian squad as back up, after a spate of withdrawals ahead of the Cameroon friendly games will be hoping to finally get his career underway in Europe.
He also represented Nigeria at U23 level and was a part of the team that failed to qualify for the last Olympics in Tokyo.
The GBS Academy of Jos trainee has in the past defender the colors of Norwegian side FK Haugesund, FK Jerv and Nest-Sotra before his move to Slovakia where he has been the past one year.
