The coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has tested plans to switch from the traditional 4-3-3 he has always favored to 4-2-4 in the wake of the absence of key players.
As many as seven players who played in the 1-0 win over Liberia on Friday won’t be available for the game against Cape Verde tomorrow as they had to return back to their base.
Base on their ongoing training session which OwnGoalNigeria.com had details about, the coach plan to play a double pivot of Shehu Abdullahi and Innocent Bonke in midfield with Samuel Kalu playing in the number ten role.
Kalu isn’t entirely new to that role as he has played in it severally for his club Bordeaux and has the trust of Rohr as the replacement for Kelechi Iheanacho who played in the role on Friday.
