The senior national team of Nigeria returned to training yesterday after the 2-0 win over Liberia in readiness for the next game away to Cape Verde.

Nigeria will be looking for their second consecutive win in the World Cup qualifiers when they play Cape Verde on Tuesday. They trained on synthetic pitch as the game will be played on similar surface.

A depleted Nigerian team following the departure of the United Kingdom based players were put through their paces by coach Gernot Rohr at the Legacy football pitch.

Rohr excused the players who were on from the start of action against Liberia and worked with the 14 who didn’t get to play or came in as substitutes. They were made to play a mini seven aside game.
