Francis Uzoho has terminated his contract with Cyprus side Apoel Nicosia per an announcement by the club on their official social media handle yesterday.
In a short statement, the club said the deal of the Nigeria international was terminated after they received compensation for the remaining years he has left with them.
They also revealed they still hold the right to any fee which will be paid by FIFA in the event that Nigeria qualifies for the next World Cup and take him to the tournament.
22 year old Uzoho joined the team on a three year deal one year ago on from Deportivo La Coruna and made a total of 23 appearances with 8 clean sheets during his time at the club.
This season he has already kept goal once before departing for the camp of the Nigerian team for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers games against Liberia and Cape Verde respectively.
It is believed he will announce his movement to another club in the next 72 hours with a return to Spain on the cards according to sources close to the player.
