The head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has not been paid his wages by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for seven months, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Rohr who accepted to take a pay cut by dropping his wages by $6,000, now earns around $49,000 a month but since the start of the year he hasn’t been paid.

The coach also agreed to collect his salary in Nigerian currency, but he has so far been unable to convert it into dollars for his use in Germany. The bank refuse to convert it for him using the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

His last resort is to use the “Black Market” in exchanging to dollars but that will see him lose 40% of his salary considering the fact that the deal was signed using the exchange rate of the CBN.
