Head coach Italian Serie A side Crotone Serse Cosmi has expressed his surprise at the none invitation of Simy Nwankwo By Nigeria during the last international break.
Simy last call up for Nigeria came in 2018 after playing a bit part role at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and despite his rich vein of form for Crotone where he has 15 goals this season he still wasn’t called up.
Cosmi while speaking on the form of the 28 year old Nigerian said he find it hard to understand that a player with such a record isn’t a part of his national team set up.
“ That goal count is enough to get you into almost every national team in the world. So it is hard to understand why he is not a part of the Nigerian team. He still keen on playing for Nigeria base on my discussion with him”, the coach said.

“ I told him to channel his disappointment to our quest as a team and he hasn’t stop scoring since then. That way it will be impossible to ignore him any further”, he concluded.
