Newly appointed coach of the U17 team of Nigeria Fatai Amoo has been praised over the way he conducted the screening of players for Nigeria U17 team.
A football agent who spent two weeks in Abuja told Owngoalnigeria.com that the head coach and the rest of the technical crew did a good job in the area of screening of players.
He said they gave enough time for players who gatecrashed the camp to prove themselves in training, something which isn’t so with previous coaches of the team.
Despite the fact that none of his players was picked , he still rate the screening process as very transparent and honest “ No complain at all. The coaches were fair to all who came uninvited. None of my boys got picked but some others who knew no one got picked”, he said.
“ Before My eyes for two weeks no one was compromised. It was all about merit as the players were given enough time to express themselves it wasn’t like this in the past”.
Meanwhile a total of sixty players were picked by the coaches to undergo the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test next week to see if they are between the age bracket.
