Vitesse Arnhem have turned down loan request from clubs wishing to have their Nigerian winger Hilary Hong for a season as they believe the fitness issues of the 21 year old is well behind him.
Hong joined the Dutch side two summers ago but Slovakian side AS Trencin but so far he has only made 11 appearances for the team no thanks to several injury set back since his move.
Before the Dutch Eredivisie was cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis, Hong made just one appearance before suffering another set back but he still very much a part of the plans of the team ahead of next season.
After fully completing his rehabilitation, the forward who is nicknamed “New Finidi George ” by the press in the Netherlands in respect to his similar style of play with that of the Nigerian legend is now back to his best physically.
The plan is to have him go through pre season training with the rest of the team before giving him the chance to use his pace, power and skills to torment defenders in the Dutch Eredivisie. He is a product of the famous GBS Academy in Jos.
