As doubts persist over the future of Nigerian winger Nura Abdullahi at Serie A side Roma, the full back has taken time to to cleat the air on his future.
At a time Nura was rated as the best youngster in the Roma Academy setup with strong performances for the B team which almost resulted in a move to Barcelona. He signed a five year deal with Roma before his career was paused for the second time due to a defect in his heart.
The problem was first detected while he was with the youth team and trying to make the grades. A first surgery was successfully done before the second one after 18 months.
In an exclusive chat with Owngoalnigeria.com from his base in Kaduna, the once upon a time Super Eagles hopeful explained his current status at the club after two heart surgeries.
” I am still with Roma but not as a player. For now it’s about getting myself fully back so I have been given time off to heal properly after the surgeries I underwent for a heart ailment”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” Nothing is truly dead and insha Allah ( grace of God) I will return back to the pitch sooner than later. However if God says otherwise then I have no choice but to respect his command “, he concluded.
