Young Arsenal Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo Close To Dumping England For Nigeria At International Level

Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively confirm that England and Arsenal U18 goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo could switch allegiance to Nigeria before the end of this year.

Okonkwo has grown in leaps and bounds this season and at the age of 17 he has already represented the U23 of Arsenal in two Premier League 2 games and also the FA Youth Cup aside his 8 appearances in the U18 Premier League.

His form has seen him train with the the second team of Arsenal severally and he could be a part of their future plans starting from pre season with legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech set to quit football at the end of the season.

An established youth international for England at U16, 17 and 18 a rise he steadily made from 2016 to 2018, Okonkwo representatives have already had talks with officials of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) .
