Dennis Bonaventure who played as a substitute for the U23 of Nigeria in their 4-0 win over Libya says getting past his markers with the type of skill he used yesterday is the strength of his game.
Bonaventure took out his man with an amazing bit of skill late into the game with his shot afterwards drawing a punch from the shot stopper of Libya which Victor Osimhen backhelled for David Okereke to score Nigeria’s fourth goal.
The Club Brugge forward did something not too different from what he did yesterday in the first game against Libya on Wednesday which Nigeria lost 0-2 in Tunisia before he was sacrificed for goalkeeper Olawale Oremade to come on following the red card shown to Adamu Abubakar.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, 21 year old Dennis who started his career with Football Academy Abuja said dribbling still remains his main strength even though he has pace to burn.
” I really don’t know how it comes off for me but it’s one of my main strength. Dribbling is a gift although my pace is also another area of my game many people think gives me an edge”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com after the game.
