The lineup for the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the friendly game against Egypt has been made known to the players, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Nigeria will take on Egypt in a high profile friendly game at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba as part of preparations by both teams for the Africa Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Egypt.
Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr is without the services of two of his strikers in Ahmed Musa and Odion Ighalo from the team that defeated Seychelles 3-1 on Friday.
Rohr lined up his players in a 4-3-3 formation with Henry Onyekuru, Moses Simon and Paul Onuachu leading the quest for goals in attack, while in midfield John Ogu takes the place of Oghenekaro Etebo with the duo of Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi keeping their spot from the last game.
In defence, Leon Balogun returns to the team to continue his ‘Oyibo Wall ‘ pairing with William Troost-Ekong while Shehu Abdullahi and Jamilu Collins will occupy the right and left full back spots. Daniel Akpeyi as earlier reported will start in goal.
