Exclusive – Rohr Hands Late Call Up To Nigeria U23 Goal Scorer David Okereke For Egypt Clash

Fresh from scoring for the U23 team of Nigeria, Spezia striker David Okereke has been called up to the senior national team of Nigeria ahead of their friendly game against Egypt, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Okereke who scored the fourth goal for Nigeria U23 in the‎ir 4-0 win over Libya after coming on as a substitute will make the step up to the Super Eagles squad for the Egypt game tomorrow.

Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr was impressed by his all round play particularly the way he runs at defenders with ease and also the positional awareness which brought about his goal.

The Spezia forward will add depth to the senior national team of Nigeria who are already without the services of captain Ahmed Musa who returned back to Saudi Arabia due to a club game for his team Al-Nassr scheduled to take place on Friday.
