Sogndal of Norway forward Jerome Akor Adams has been handed the chance to solve the strikers crisis currently affecting the Nigeria U20 team according to coach Paul Aigbogun, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
In an exclusive chat with this portal, the coach said the 19 year old has all it takes to deliver for the team at the U20 World Youth Championship in Poland later this year base on his current form.
” Akor was with us when we started preparations for the qualifiers but he wasn’t at the level he is now because we gave him some games but he didn’t live up to expectations “, Aigbogun told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” I’ve received some really interesting news about him in Norway where he now plays for Sogndal. If he brings his form down here he will no doubt lead the line for us at the World Youth Championship in Poland “.
Akor ended the season on a high with a brace in the FA Youth Cup final in Norway and his string of impressive performance has already earned him a contract extension and a chance with the first team.
