The battle for the first choice spot of the Super Eagles will definitely go down the wire as Swiss-Nigerian goalkeeper Sebastian Osigwe has thrown himself into the mix by virtue of his performance so far for Switzerland second division side SC Kriens.
Owngoalnigeria.com erroneously said the 24 year old struggled to get games last season but recent checks prove that he actually kept goal in 29 games last season with ten clean sheets to his name to help SC Kriens gain promotion to the second division.
Spotting jersey number 58, a shirt which he picked in honour of his mother, he has started the season on a sound footing with a man of the match performance in their last weekend game against Lausanne.
Highly rated in Switzerland, he has worked his way up the ladder and has improved tremendously from the young man who failed to make the Nigerian U20 team to the World Youth Championship in 2013.
