Nigeria are still in with a chance when it comes to the international future of England U21 international Ademola Lookman who is currently on the books of English Premier League outfit Everton.
Lookman asked for more time when Nigeria approached him prior to the World Cup, and the forward was also busy with issues surrounding his club future which saw him move to Germany on loan in the concluding part of last season.
Back at Everton after completing the loan at RB Leipzig, although he is still linked with a return to the German side on a permanent deal, Nigeria have been given some ray of hope in their quest to beat England to his international future.
” Nothing is cast in stone yet. Lookman has Nigerian heritage and playing for them is an option. He has hidden it although he is proud of his present spot as an U20 international for England”, a source close to his family told Owngoalnigeria.com.
