Nigeria kept alive their hope of qualifying for the round of 16 at the World Cup with a 2-0 win over Iceland made possible courtesy of a brace by Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa.
Musa scored the first goal five minutes after the half time break before adding another ten minutes later in the game where he almost scored a hattrick if not for the bar.
Star man of the national team of Iceland Gylfi Sigurdsson wasted a good chance to reduce the deficit for his team from the spot with around ten minutes to play in the tie.
The Everton man skied his effort high and wide despite sending goalkeeper Francis Odinaka Uzoho the wrong way. The young Nigerian goalkeeper was however called into action when he parried a cross across goal before Leon Balogun cleared to safety.
