Coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr appears to have settled for a 3-5-2 formation for their next game against Iceland on Friday base on tips gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team.
The coach gave a hint of how the team will line up by taking out time to work with some players who are likely in the running to start as Nigeria aim to keep their World Cup campaign alive.
Rohr used the 4-2-3-1 formation in the 0-2 loss against Croatia and from all indication he has ditched it for a two man attack system with Simy Nwankwo and Odion Ighalo leading the line.
John Obi Mikel and captain Ogenyi Onazi are tipped to continue their partnership in the midfield with alongside star man in the first game Oghenekaro Etebo, while Wilfred Ndidi is likely to be dropped.
Tyronne Ebuehi and Elderson Echiejile will play as right and left wing backs respectively while William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun will lead the three men at the back.
