A peep at the training session of the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of Friday’s game against Iceland gave a hint on how coach Gernot Rohr will select his starting line up for the game, which Nigeria need to avoid defeat.
In today’s session all players of the team took part, a sign of how fit the entire squad is at the moment but some players who started in the 0-2 loss against Croatia are in danger of getting dropped to the bench for Friday’s game.
Alex Iwobi lined up for the B team in today’s session, the third time in a role that the Arsenal forward has played for the team since his not too impressive performance against Croatia on Saturday.
Meanwhile Ahmed Musa will most likely start against Iceland as he has been fully involved in training with the A team, where his pace, awareness and goal scoring has caught the eyes.
