Fanendo Adi – The goal king of the MLS didn’t do enough to convince coach Samson Siasia when he was first invited to the team in 2016. His form on the domestic scene is however same as it was, if not even better than when he was first invited two years ago.
Strong and deadly in the air, he has the ability to bring others into play with his giant frame acting as a shield to hold off defenders. He has already started the season on a high with an assist for Portland Timbers in their first game of the MLS season.
Obafemi Martins – Still going strong in China for Shanghai Greenland Shenhua at the age of 33, same country where the likes of Carlos Tevez, Jackson Martinez and others have failed to shine in recent times.
Very quick and deadly in the box. His pace and ability to finish off chances at a rate better than the present crop of Super Eagles forwards, should no doubt put him in the frame for a call up to the team.
