Forgotten Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder Joel Obi scored his third league goal of the season as his Serie A side Torino were forced to a 1-1 draw by Sassuolo.

Obi put Torino in front in the 26th minute after he turned home a badly cleared freekick by the host, he has however unable to help when Sassuolo drew level in the 54th minutes through Domenico Berardi.

The Nigerian was replaced in the 73rd minutes by coach Walter Mazzari in what was his 13th appearance in the Serie A, seven more to equal his last season total of 20 with over 15 games to go this season.

In all competitions, the 26 year old who looks to have overcome the various injury problems that slowed his career down has three goals in all competitions this season, with four assists as well.
