Portuguese top division side CD Feirense have decided to hang on to their Nigerian forward Oghenekaro Etebo despite confirming approach from teams around Europe.
Etebo was widely viewed as one of the assest which the modest Portuguese side would use to generate huge money through his transfer, but that appears not to be the case.
So far no European giant has made an approach for the 22 year old, instead only English Premier League side West Brom and French Ligue 1 duo of Rennes and Lyon have approached Feirense, but are yet to meet the €4m transfer fee slapped on him by the Portuguese side.
Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade and Cyprus side Omonia Nicosia are also among the teams who have indicated their interest in Etebo, but are yet to meet Feirense’s fee for Etebo ahead of the reopening of the transfer window in January.

According to Portuguese publication Record, the fact that none of the club interested in Etebo have been able to meet their demand, means he will remain at CD Feirense until at least the end of the season.
The president of the club Kunle Soname have reportedly communicated to Etebo about their decision, hence the midfielder cum forward is already back in training at the club base in Portugal with the rest of his team-mates.
