Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr is mulling over handing a last minute call up to the duo of Olarewaju Kayode and Alhassan Ibrahim ahead of Nigeria’s game against Algeria and Argentina.
Rohr initially kicked against the idea of replacing the injured Odion Ighalo who pulled out of the squad for the games, but with the duo of Moses Simon and Ogenyi Onazi suffering injury scare, the coach is presently having a rethink.
On loan Manchester City striker Kayode will know his fate later today when the technical crew receives feedback from Simon who missed Gent’s league game on Friday against Standard Liege due to a toe injury.
Ibrahim popularly called Muazam is on the list of players on standby, and with Onazi set for test following the injury scare he suffered while on duty for Trabzonspor, he could be drafted in.
