Coach of Swansea City Paul Clement has dismissed claims that he played a role in convincing Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham dto opt for England ahead of Nigeria .
As reported by this portal, the coach who also voiced out his desire for Abraham to continue his international career with England in one of his pre match conference allegedly helped England land Abraham ahead of Nigeria.
However following Abraham first call up to the senior national team of England ahead of their friendly games against Brazil and Germany, Clement insist he played no role in the striker’s decision.
“ Although I wanted him to play for England, but I wasn’t involved in any discussion with Tammy about who he wanted to player for.

“I saw one report that I’d told him who to play for- that’s complete nonsense.” he said at the pre match conference ahead of their game against Brighton and Hove Albion.
