Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi scored the winner for Nigeria 17 minutes from full time to help them to a 1-0 win over Zambia, which sealed their passage to the World Cup 2018 in Russia.
Iwobi was introduced for Moses Simon with scores at 0-0 , and ten minutes after his introduction, the 21 year old directed a low cross from Shehu Abdullahi past Zambian goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene.
The goal was good enough to see Nigeria progress to the World Cup in Russia, as the three points means they now have 13 points, a tally that can’t be matched by any team in their group.
Nigeria’s final World Cup Qualifiers is going to be against Algeria in Algiers, while Zambia will take on Cameroon for pride.
