A close relation to Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Ola Aina says the on loan Chelsea defender has always wanted to play for Nigeria long before he made the switch to Nigeria from England.

Aina represented England at various youth levels, before switching allegiance to Nigeria early this year but according to Dayo Michael he has always harboured the thought of playing for Nigeria.

” His switch to Nigeria didn’t come to us as a surprise at all. He has this thing for Nigeria that no one can contest. Aina is a big fan of Nigerian music just incase you don’t know”, Dayo told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Even while he was representing England at youth level, he was keen on knowing what’s happening with the Nigeria national team. His love for the Super Eagles dates way back to when he was a kid growing up.
