On loan Chelsea defender Ola Aina who is in the squad of Nigeria for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Cameroon is in line to play for Nigeria despite doubts surrounding his clearance from FIFA.
Aina’s switch from England where he represented them at various youth level to Nigeria is yet to be officially ratified by FIFA, and that has lead to doubts over his eligibility to play for Nigeria against Cameroon.
However Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye told Owngoalnigeria.com in a chat that all necessary documents has been submitted to the world football governing body, and all that is missing is for FIFA players status committee to meet over his case.
” Everything is done regarding documentation. All district FA’s in the United Kingdom have agreed to his switch even the player himself has written to all parties about the switch”, Ibitoye exclusively told Owngoalnigeria.com
