Alex Iwobi was handed a start by manager Arsene Wenger as Arsenal secured their second pre season victory in as many games with a 3-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers.
Arsenal are presently in Australia on a pre season tour, and Iwobi who provided the assist for Arsenal big money buy Alexandre Lacazette after coming on as a substitute against Sydney FC was on from the start and lasted for 66 minutes in today’s game.
Goals from Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey and Mohammed El Neny gave Arsenal a 3-0 lead going into the half time break, but Western Sydney Wanderers pulled one back seven minutes after the break.
Iwobi who started wide on the ride, same spot from which he teed up Alexis for the Gunners second goal in their first pre season game, but this time around he failed to replicate same magic although he put in a commendable shift.
