Q – Are you still in contact with people from Genk?

Ndidi – Yes, we speak regularly with guys like Ally Samatta, Thomas Buffel and Bernard Kumordzi. Also with Christian Kabasele ( now at Watford) . We tease each other constantly on instagram (laughs). Last season some club officials from Genk came to watch me ‎against Tottenham, which reminded me of the fun time I had.

Q – Do you still follow games of Genk?

Ndidi – Yes, of course I still follow them, I was at the stadium for their game against Celta Vigo last season. It was great how the fans adored me. I felt the love is too much. Genk supporters are forever in my heart.

Q- What attracted you the most to join Leicester?

Ndidi – Well, the fans, the atmosphere, the team, the players and the coaches. Actually, I found everything about the club attractive. The people here are all equally nice, the players, the ‎coach and especially the fans. They all did their best in helping me enjoy my stay.

Q- How hard was it for you to adapt to the way Leicester play?

Ndidi – No, not really hard. I adapted slowly. It’s gone very well. I was also very well received by my fellow players.

Q – You immediately became a starter in the midfield for Leicester, did you expect it to be that quick?

Ndidi – It was a big surprise, even though. I also did my best to work hard and it paid off. That basis, I take it as a reward for me.

Q- Did you expect to win the young player award after just four and half months at Leicester?

Ndidi – No not at all. I consider it a great honour, and I’m still very happy with it. Really happy.

Q – Your nickname at Gent was Teddy, what do they call you now at Leicester City?

Ndidi – They just call me by my name. Genk I was often the man the others love to tease, but that is still so in Leicester, they always try hard to fool around with me.

Q- There are reported interest from other teams in England, is there any chance of you leaving Leicester this summer?

Ndidi – Uh, at this time definitely not. The only thing I want is to play and I have it here. I feel I need to put more steps and I can be the best here at Leicester City.
