Belgium Europa League representative Zulte Waregem have concluded the loan signing of 21 year old Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka from fellow league side Gent.
Olayinka spent the last 12 months on loan to Czech Republic side Dukla Prague after injury robbed him off the chance to make hay with Gent following his move from Albania side Skenderbreu in January 2016.
Last season he scored six goals from 22 games for his loan side as he continues to work his way to full fitness, a rise he is hoping will continue following his move to Zulte Waregem where he will team up with fellow Nigerians Aliko Bala and Kingsley Madu.
“This is a new season in a new league,” Olayinka said after he completed his loan move.The Belgian league is higher (than that of Czech Republic) and I wish to adapt as quickly as possible to a new league so that I can show what I am capable of.
