Highly rated FC Porto defender Chidozie Awaziem has revealed the secret behind his blossoming partnership with William Troost-Ekong in the senior national team of Nigeria.
The duo have emerged as the favourite central defence pair of coach Gernot Rohr during the Eagles training session in France, and they complemented each other nicely in the 1-1 draw against Corsica in a friendly game.
Awaziem and Troost-Ekong have since then continue their pairing, with the Porto man confirming to Owngoalnigeria.com the secret behind their strong partnership.
” Sometimes this things come naturally, but in our case it’s due to the number of times we have trained together, and the communication between us, on and off the pitch”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” He’s a great guy, a loveable being and on the pitch his determination will fire you up to be at your best. He is very quick and hard in tackles. So usually his partners like me have little to do in games, he covers lot of grounds “.
