Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr says the list of players for the team training exercise in France released yesterday is solely for the camp in France, and Corsica friendly game.
The list of 22 players is not the team for the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against South Africa contrary to popular belief, as the coach will release another list at the end of May for the AFCON 2019 clash.
” Not at all, this is not the list for the clash against South Africa. It’s just for the camping in France and the friendly against Corsica, meanwhile the list for the South Africa tie will be out later in the Month”, he said.
” The camp in France is to say some of the young players we have in the team, and also gauge the level of fitness of some of the players who have not been playing a lot for their team.
