English Premier League outfit Everton are currently lagging behind Borussia Monchengladbach in the race to sign free scoring Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru from Belgium side KAS Eupen.
Onyekuru’s 18 goals haul in his debut season in the top flight of the league in Belgium has alerted top clubs from major leagues in Europe, with Everton meeting with the forward last week as exclusively reported by this portal.
However German side Borussia Monchengladbach, who as reported by this portal are currently ahead of Everton and Southampton by using the fact that, the girlfriend of the forward is based in Germany.
The talented Onyekuru who can function as a wing forward or main striker wants to be close to his girlfriend, and aside wanting to be close to her, he stand the chance of having regular game time at the German side than with any of the teams in England.

For now, his next move according to the forward will be pivotal to his dreams of representing Nigeria at next year World Cup in Russia. Already he has been called up to the senior Nigeria team for their camp in France later in the month.
