Friday night games in various European leagues witnessed games involving teams with Nigerian players on their books.

In Turkey Godfrey Obaboana, Bright Edomwonyi and Nosa Igiebor started for Rizespor, with Edomwonyi leaving the pitch in the 68th minute as they crash to a 2-4 loss to visiting Kayserispor, with Raheem Lawal among the goal scorers for the visitors.

Lawal was however substituted in the 69th minute after a nasty kick to his head in the game which Igiebor set up the opener for his team, who ended the game with 10 men following a red card.

Still in Turkey, Hungarian-Nigerian defender Kenneth Otigba was an unused substitute for Kasimpasa in their 4-0 win over Bursaspor with Samuel Emem Eduok coming on for Kasimpasa with seven minutes left to play.
